**THE ROLE**
We are currently looking for energetic casual Disability Support Workers to join our** **Community & Individual Support.**
These rewarding positions provide a positive, strengths based and person-centered service to enable individuals living with a disability to reach their own potential, become valued members of the community and achieve their goals.

Our services support people with a disability, young people, children, families, those escaping domestic violence, and those leaving prison, among others.

Behind this vision is a united team of over 800 staff members and 400 volunteers who work together throughout Newcastle, Hunter, Central Coast, Western and the Mid-North Coast regions of NSW.
**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**
We are looking for genuine, proactive Disability Support Workers experienced in supporting people in a range of ways dependent upon the needs of each individual. To be successful, the successful applicants are required to have:
- An ability to demonstrate initiative, set priorities, work collaboratively and achieve individual and team goals and targets;
- A strong understanding of the Disability Services Act and Disability Services Standards;
- An ability to develop rapport and positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, colleagues and fellow staff members;
- Computer skills of a high standard, especially in MS Office software, e.g. word, outlook, excel, and the internet.
