About the Role
FSG is inviting expressions of interest from experienced Associate to Principal level Geotechnical Engineers to join our Perth team of geotechnical professionals.
These roles provide leadership within a high‑performing group while delivering geotechnical solutions across building, infrastructure, resources and energy sectors, both locally and nationally.
The role will involve design, analysis, reporting and construction phase support relating to geotechnical services which may include:
* site investigation and characterisation
* soil structure interaction
* foundation and retention systems
* earthworks and pavements
* ground improvement
* slope risk assessment
* temporary works design
You will also be responsible for:
* Leading a diverse portfolio of geotechnical projects
* Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
* Business development activities, including proposals and tenders
* Training, supervising and mentoring junior staff
Skills and experience
We are looking for the following attributes and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; post‑graduate qualifications in Geotechnical Engineering are an advantage
* Experience or strong understanding of finite element modelling and review of modelling completed by others
* Demonstrated ability to lead and direct geotechnical engineers/geologists on complex projects
* Excellent problem‑solving skills
* Strong client communication and management skills
* Strong industry network and business development capability
* A team‑oriented approach and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
