**The role** We are seeking a self-motivated Payroll Officer to join our experienced, client-focused team to provide accurate and timely payroll support and advice to ALS laboratories across the region.
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader and National Payroll Manager, and as part of a collaborative team, you will process end-to-end payroll for your stakeholder group.
**The day to day** The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:* Setting up new employees* Terminating employees* Processing any permanent and temporary changes to employee data* Maintain employee records and personnel files* Follow up any missing paper work from employee files from various labs* Processing time records and calculation of pays* Processing and printing of payroll data* Distribution of payslips* End of pay procedure reporting* End of month procedure reporting eg.
Leave reports and overtime reports required by various managers* Workcover claims and reimbursements* Maintenance of employee superannuation fund details* Upload EFT details for payroll, group tax and all other creditor payments* Filing* Ad hoc payroll reports as requested.
**The Essentials** The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:* Experience Required: 2+ years in a similar role* Other Skills: MS office suite, Excel* Highly Desirable : Aurion, Kronos* Excellent Communication Skills* Intermediate ability in MS Office including Word and Excel* Deadline driven* Responsive to organisational needs* Attention to detail* Sound decision making skills* Ability to work under pressure* Ability to adapt to changes in organisational structure and software.
