About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Manager to lead a dynamic team based at a food manufacturing facility local to Moorebank.
This is a people-focused leadership role, managing a team of 11 reports, ensuring the efficient operation of plant equipment, facilities, and maintenance processes.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, with a passion for mentoring and developing their team while driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 11 maintenance technicians and tradespeople.
Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Manage preventative and corrective maintenance schedules.
Work closely with production, operations, and health & safety teams to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
Drive performance through KPIs and ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Manage contractor relationships and oversee external maintenance projects.
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to improve plant performance.
Report on maintenance performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
Strong people management skills with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
Hands-on technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or automation systems.
Experience working in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environment.
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems and processes.
Ability to manage budgets and maintenance schedules effectively.
