What We're Looking For
We are seeking a high-calibre, commercially astute HR Business Partner to support our Western Operations, playing a pivotal role in aligning people strategy with business performance across a complex, project-driven environment. In this role, you will partner with senior leaders to elevate workforce performance, strengthen leadership capability, and embed consistent, high-impact people practices across a fast-paced, project-driven environment. You will play a critical role in translating strategy into action, guiding leaders through complex workforce challenges, building capability, and enabling safe, productive, and sustainable operational outcomes.
What You'll Bring To The Team
Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources and forming part of the Human Resources Leadership Team, you bring strong HR partnering capability with the confidence to operate in fast-paced, operational environments and influence at a senior level.
* Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
* Postgraduate qualifications or professional accreditation (highly regarded)
* Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR capacity
* Demonstrated experience supporting operational, industrial, or project-based environments
* Strong capability in managing complex employee relations matters end-to-end
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and Awards
* Experience partnering with senior leaders to drive performance and workforce outcomes
* Ability to interpret workforce data and translate insights into practical, value-driven actions
* Commercially minded, with the ability to balance people outcomes and business performance
* Resilient and pragmatic, with the confidence to operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
What You'll Be Doing
You will partner with leaders across the region to embed the People Plan and deliver practical, in-field HR outcomes that drive performance.
* Partner closely with operational leaders to deliver proactive workforce planning aligned to project pipelines, shutdown schedules, and evolving business demands
* Drive the execution and embedding of key people initiatives, frameworks, and HR strategies to build consistency and capability across the region
* Coach, guide, and empower leaders to strengthen performance management, uplift leadership capability, and enhance overall team effectiveness
* Lead complex employee relations matters end-to-end, including investigations, disciplinary processes, and workplace issues, with a balanced and pragmatic approach
* Identify retention risks and contribute to succession planning for critical roles, ensuring business continuity and long-term capability
* Translate workforce data and insights, such as turnover, absenteeism, and capability trends, into practical, value-adding actions
* Champion and reinforce a strong safety culture through aligned people practices, leadership accountability, and visible commitment
* Ensure full compliance with employment legislation, internal policies, and organisational standards, maintaining best practice across all people processes
