Senior Network Engineer – Defence 6 Month Contract (Strong Extension Potential) | Hybrid
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support a major defence-focused program.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver complex LAN/WAN network solutions
* Configure and deploy enterprise routing and switching environments
* Implement and optimise routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, MPLS, STP, LACP, QoS and BFD
* Design and deploy SD-WAN solutions
* Implement firewalls and network security policies
* Support carrier-grade IP MPLS/BGP platforms delivering Layer 2 and Layer 3 services
* Produce high-quality technical documentation and network design artefacts
* Support and maintain network gateway technologies (desirable)
* Must hold NV1
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience as a Senior Network Engineer in complex environments
* Deep knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture
* Advanced routing and switching experience
* Experience with MPLS and BGP environments
* Experience implementing firewalls and network security
* Experience with SD-WAN technologies
* Strong documentation and design skills
