Maintenance Fitter – Permanent Full-Time Afternoon Shift (Training on Day Shift)

Nestlé Broadford, the home of Allen’s lollies including products such as Party Mix, Snakes Alive, Jelly Beans and more, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking Fitter and Turner to join our Maintenance team on afternoon shift. Training will commence on day shift and once training is undertaken the role will be on afternoon shift. Your role will primarily focus on maintaining confectionery manufacturing assets in a manner that enables manufacturing excellence.
You will be responsible for, and have the ability to deliver in the following areas:
· Preventative Maintenance: Perform maintenance activities on confectionery manufacturing equipment. Actively engage in systematically reviewing scheduled overhauls with a goal of zero equipment failures.
· Work order management: Responsible for self-managing work orders in a timely manner that is accurate and cost effective. All technical store materials used and time spent onsite must be accurately accounted for in SAP time confirmations.
· Operational Support: Provide effective line service to troubleshoot processes and assist as required. Train, coach and mentor operators in line adjustments and change overs to a level of autonomy that does not require trade input on a daily basis.
· NCE: Integrate NCE (Nestle Continuous Excellence) programs such as TPM (Total Performance Management) as a standard way of working. You will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our factories through mastering the process and product characteristics.
· Understand and adhere to any additional requirements required of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) in the role.
To be successful in the role you will have:
· Fitting and Turning Trade Qualification - Certificate III in Engineering with several years’ experience.
· Demonstrated skills and a commitment to working safely.
· Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
· Good time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Proactive cooperation and a demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
· A willingness and ability to learn new processes.
· The initiative and courage to speak out when correction is required.
