The Opportunity
This role offers Australian surveyors the chance to apply their underground experience in large-scale North American operations while being backed by an Australian-based technical team that understands the realities of underground mining.
You'll be embedded with AMPS, delivering practical, production-focused surveying solutions in an environment that values competence, initiative, and professionalism.
What We're Looking For

* Australian citizenship is essential.
* At least 5 years of solid underground mine surveying experience.
* Minimum 5 years of underground mine surveying experience required.
* Strong, hands-on experience with day-to-day underground production surveying using Deswik, check surveys and quality control.

* Exposure to specialised surveying such as Move3 Least Square Adjustment Software and gyroscopic surveys (highly regarded but not essential).
Why This Role Suits Australian Surveyors
* You'll have the freedom to work unsupervised and manage your own workload underground.
* You're expected to be resourceful, practical, and capable of solving problems in the field.
* Element Geospatial provides strong technical supportwhen needed — you're never left on your own — but you'll also be trusted to show initiative and make sound decisions.
* Opportunity to broaden your experience internationally while working with modern equipment and advanced underground operations.
The Right Person
You're an underground surveyor who:
* Takes pride in accurate, production-focused work
* Is comfortable working independently underground
* Communicates well with mining and technical teams
* Wants to expand their career beyond Australia while staying connected to an Australian surveying company
