Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to perform various tasks across Enterprise Data/Voice and Data Centre solutions and services. This role will offer you the opportunity to work autonomously on projects and under direction for more complex activities. You will be involved in configuration/installation, technical assistance and the maintenance of Data and Voice infrastructure technologies across a number of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
Deploy and support complex systems and new technologies including, LAN, WAN, WLAN, RTLS, Security, Monitoring, Hypervisor and Data Centre Solutions.
Provide Level 1 through to Level 3 after-hours support for customer networking technologies
Management of escalated customer incidents to resolution
Initiate pro-active problem management by contributing to a knowledge base and communicate fault resolutions
Act as technical lead for key customers
Provide technical assistance, mentoring and support to build capabilities within the engineering team
Consult and provide advice to pre-sales solution architects on practical application, implementation and operation of advanced customer solutions
Perform tests for implementation of new services and ensure smooth integration of upgrades
Provide accurate documentation relating to customer activity
Prepare statistical reports relating to customer incidents and faults and assist with analysis and diagnosis of incidents
Proactively propose new services to customers
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise ACSE Certified in multiple product areas (minimum ACFE with experience)
Advanced knowledge in Cloud ecosystems
Advanced Knowledge in SBC and SIP ecosystems
Knowledge of network/cloud security.
TAFE Certificate IV in Telecommunications or equivalent relevant experience in technical service for voice &/or data products
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Minimum 4 years experience in technical service and certification with specified products
Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
Ability to work on an ‘On-call’ basis
Interest or background in Cybersecurity
Current Driver’s License and registered car
You must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for government security clearance.
