Job Title: SSHO
We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) professional to oversee the safety of our construction projects.
* This role is responsible for ensuring strict adherence to EM 385-1-1 and Australian WHS regulations.
* The successful candidate will have day-to-day operational responsibility to the Project Manager and/or Project Superintendent.
Key responsibilities include:
* Serving as the on-site SSHO, reporting primarily to the Project Manager/Superintendent.
* Ensuring proper implementation of the government accepted Accident Prevention Plan (APP), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA's) and all other contractual safety requirements.
* Conducting documented safety orientation training and ongoing job and evolution specific safety training for all required jobsite personnel.
* Investigating all safety & mishap incidents and producing and maintaining accident reports and all other required records.
Requirements
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience preparing & enforcing safety programs on large construction projects.
* 2-yr or 4-yr Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related field.
* Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
* Current OSHA 30-hour & EM 385-1-1.
