We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor for a fantastic permanent Full-Time opportunity located in Mossman.
About the Role:
As a collaborative member of the staff team, you are responsible to ensure all equipment, buildings and surrounds are maintained to deliver a safe, functional and engaging environment in keeping with The Salvation Army Aged Care Plus (ACP) standards and requirements. Remain both proactive and reactive to enhance the service and safety of the centre and lifestyle of its residents and manages a Maintenance Worker.
The role will be responsible for;
* Responsible for quality, efficient and effective output by Maintenance Staff within the team and/or from employees within the Centre assisting maintenance functions
* Awareness of and compliance with Enterprise Agreement work planning and rostering arrangements in conjunction with the Centre Manager
* Actively promotes and manages a high level of property related functionality and safety within the facility. The Centre’s overall operational level is enhanced via the high quality of property management and workmanship.
* The facility is in a structurally sound, safe and functional state of repair meeting or exceeding all building certification and safety requirements.
* Actively works towards developing and promoting excellent aesthetic appeal for all stakeholders both buildings, grounds and general environment, including visual, sound and smell. The centres image is enhanced by the presentation of its facilities and surrounds.
About You:
To be successful in the role you will have;
* Demonstrated experience in the management and planning of building and grounds maintenance, including proven strong safety knowledge and skills
* Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage complex workloads and prioritise work according to changing demands
* High level verbal and written communication skills with patience and sensitivity appropriate for aged care resident liaison
