Role Description
With the recent expansion of the business, we are seeking a CAD Technician to help in house engineering/ drafting team.
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Dandenong South, VIC.
As a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Technician, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs to support the manufacturing and production teams. You will work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure designs meet quality standards and project requirements. Additionally, you may assist with design revisions, documentation, and QA/QC processes.
Your role also includes assisting day-to-day tasks such as liaising with customers and suppliers to provide technical information, quotes on our product range.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in 2D/3D modelling software SolidWorks.
* Demonstrated ability in creating engineering drawings of complex mechanical components.
* Knowledge in engineering drawing principles including Weldments, GT&D.
* Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy in design/drafting work.
* Familiarity or previous experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is highly advantageous.
* Relevant qualifications in CAD, Engineering Technology, Welding or a related field are preferred.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers and team members.
* Fresh graduates with extensive CAD exposure who are willing to get hands on exposure in transport industry also welcome.
