Overview
Shape Your World at Alcoa: As a Cultural Heritage Advisor, you will join our External Relations and Sustainability team to protect and manage cultural heritage across our Western Australian operations. Your work will strengthen Alcoa's social performance through survey programs, heritage management, and collaborative engagement with Traditional Owners.
Responsibilities
* Identify cultural heritage survey and monitoring requirements and develop appropriate scopes of work.
* Coordinate and support the scheduling and execution of cultural heritage surveys, monitoring, and other field‐based activities.
* Contribute to statutory approval applications where impacts cannot be avoided.
* Provide input into creating the cultural heritage management framework, policy, and procedures to facilitate management.
* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Traditional Owners, consultants and stakeholders, fostering trust and respectful engagement.
* Provide technical support on heritage matters, including reviewing survey outputs, supporting approvals and studies, and promoting safe field practices aligned with organisational standards.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in archaeology, anthropology or cultural heritage management with related experience.
* Demonstrated ability to work with Aboriginal people in a sensitive, respectful, and culturally appropriate manner.
* Knowledge of cultural heritage legislation in Western Australia and relevant industry standards and best practices.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
* Proficient use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) – skilled in creating maps and interrogating data.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‐functional team environment and commitment to ethical business practices and corporate social responsibility.
* Current Australian C‐Class Driver's Licence to travel to the Huntly and Willowdale mines for field work as required.

Location
Alcoa operates in Western Australia and Victoria including bauxite mines, alumina refineries, a smelter and corporate offices. The role requires travel to the Huntly and Willowdale mines.
