Township Maintenance Supervisor
This is a critical leadership role within our Infrastructure Maintenance Team.
As Township Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of Council assets in township areas.
The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and experience in supervising a team.
You will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
This includes coordinating field operations, engaging with the community, traders, and visitors, and resolving any complaints or issues that arise.
You will also support the Infrastructure Maintenance Coordinator with operational and administrative tasks and contribute to continuous improvement across townships.
This is a full-time permanent position (38 hours per week).
The successful candidate will have a strong focus on customer satisfaction, technical knowledge, and confident communication skills.
This role has 3 direct reports.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Oversee the maintenance and repair of Council assets in township areas.
* Coordinate field operations and ensure all maintenance work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
* Engage with the community, traders, and visitors, and resolve any complaints or issues that arise.
* Support the Infrastructure Maintenance Coordinator with operational and administrative tasks.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across townships.
* Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Prioritise customer satisfaction by resolving complaints, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring high service standards aligned with Council policies.
* Build strategic partnerships across Council teams and support Recreation, Parks and Facilities projects.
* Implement and monitor new systems, encourage change, maintain safety standards, and identify opportunities for process enhancements.
* Apply industry knowledge, inspect infrastructure assets, and operate maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
* The ability to perform hands-on maintenance to promptly resolve issues and restore asset condition.
* Great organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently with diverse customers.
* OHS White Card or equivalent.
* Traffic Management Certification.
