About the Role
Producing high-quality ceramic pieces is at the heart of your responsibilities as a lead potter. Your days will be filled with hands-on ceramic production, wheel throwing, hand-building, trimming, glazing, and kiln operations.
* Develop consistency across production lines by mastering various techniques, including wheel throwing and hand-building.
* Prepare clay and glazes, inspect finished products, record production data, and report any issues affecting quality or efficiency.
* Work closely with designers and team members to align with our creative direction and contribute innovative ideas for process improvements.
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced professional with:
* A proven track record in ceramic production, preferably within a studio or manufacturing environment.
* Expertise in wheel throwing and/or hand-building techniques.
* Knowledge of glaze application, chemistry, and kiln operations.
* A strong focus on quality and attention to detail, ensuring exceptional workmanship throughout.
