Responsibilities
On-site assembly and disassembly of industrial gas turbines (LM) mainly in Australia and occasionally in Southeast Asia.
Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance work on packages in accordance with OEM documentation.
Startup of packages after repair according to corrective maintenance measures.
Remote monitoring, troubleshooting and diagnostics (borescope inspections) for the facilities.
Assessment of asset performance.
On-site technical customer support and technical instruction/supervision of subcontractors.
Documentation of results and maintenance reports.
Preparation and wrap-up of field service events (organisation of business trips and logistics for spare parts, tools etc.).
Deputy to the Director regarding technical questions.
Presales induction planning with relevant specialist departments.
Technical support for receivables management and completed jobs.
Customer point-of-contact for technical queries and for all MRT-team matters.
Capacity planning, qualification planning, vacation planning.
Internal order coordination/placement.
Ensuring compliance with customer requirements.
Independent technical evaluation of different work scopes.
Participation in the on-call service.
Other tasks – execution as certifying staff, or taking on customer account manager responsibilities if needed.
Qualifications
Right to work in Australia.
4 years general training as an engine engineer.
2 years specific shop training (level 2, 3, 4) on LM and LM-depot.
Long-standing experience in on-site maintenance and repair of LM industrial gas turbines and package components.
Long-standing experience in offshore maintenance and repair.
Very good spoken and written English.
Willingness to travel and perform hands-on maintenance work.
Confidence, competence and credibility in dealing with customers.
Responsible, structured and focused work approach.
Capability to work independently and improvise.
