About the Role
* Deliver hands-on personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting to promote residents' autonomy and comfort.
* Support residents with mobility and daily routines to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
* Monitor residents' health and wellbeing concerns and report them to clinical staff for prompt attention.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to create a positive living environment.
* Maintain accurate and detailed care documentation and records to inform future care decisions.
* Collaborate effectively with a supportive team of nurses and care staff to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
* Hold a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent, reflecting a strong foundation in aged care principles.
* Have at least 6 months of experience working in aged care settings, whether in facilities or community-based programs.
* Demonstrate an empathetic, reliable, and professional attitude, essential for building trust with residents and colleagues alike.
* Be adaptable to diverse care environments and team cultures, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
* Possess a valid Police Check within the past 12 months and current COVID-19 (2) and flu vaccinations to safeguard resident health and well-being.
