Do you love design, but you live for the close? We're looking for a highly experienced Interior Design & Sales Consultant who can confidently convert walk‑in showroom clients into committed projects and sales — with speed, clarity, and zero hesitation.
At Biku, the decorating is important, but sales performance matters just as much (if not more). Many of our clients are furnishing entire properties or multiple rooms at once, so this role needs someone who can treat projects with a bulk‑sales mindset : decisive, efficient, and outcome‑driven — while still delivering beautiful results.
This is an immediate start role for someone ready to step straight in.

Our complimentary Personal Shopping / Interior Decorating service is central to how we grow. Most projects begin in‑store, then evolve into full‑home or multi‑room furnishing journeys. We work fast, collaboratively, and with a clear process that supports confident decision‑making.
The Role
As our Interior Design & Sales Consultant, you will:
* Own the showroom experience — greet, guide, build rapport, and lead clients with confidence.
* Convert retail browsing into paid furnishing projects and sales by following our proven sales process.
* Close sales decisively, especially bulk / multi‑room and whole‑home purchases, without overthinking or dragging timelines out.
* Create strong visual concepts quickly using Canva, Houzz, and relevant design software — enough to help clients decide and move forward.
* Present clear, practical solutions that balance beauty, budget, scale and delivery reality.
* Manage multiple client projects at once, keeping communication sharp, proactive and organised.
* Work closely with the Biku team to ensure smooth handover, ordering, and delivery outcomes.
This role suits someone who can move a client from "thinking about it" to "let's do it" — efficiently and professionally.
Work Hours
Permanent part‑time: 25–30 hours per week across 4–5 days, including weekends and peak retail periods. Flexibility is essential.
What We're Looking For
This is not an entry‑level role. You must be capable from day one.
You'll be a strong fit if you:
* Have proven retail sales experience with strong closing ability — furnishing, design, or high‑value retail preferred.
* Possess 2-3 years of interior design experience with a genuine passion for creating inspiring spaces.
* Are comfortable with fast‑paced, higher‑volume decision cycles, especially clients furnishing multiple rooms or properties.
* Have Interior Decorating / Interior Design experience and can work creatively within a structured sales process.
* Bring 3+ years of retail sales experience and thrive in connecting with customers in a retail environment.
* Know how to guide clients firmly when they're stuck, and help them reach decisions quickly.
* Are highly computer confident and can problem‑solve independently with systems and software.
* Have hands‑on experience using Canva and design tools (Houzz, floor planning / mood boards, Trello or similar).
* Communicate clearly and warmly, and enjoy working with established families who value expertise and direction.
* Are physically capable of being on the showroom floor and assisting with furniture as needed.
If you're a talented designer but not a confident closer, this won't be the right role. We need someone who can sell and style — both.
