We’re seeking a Workforce Engagement and Events Officer to coordinate and deliver high-quality education events and workforce engagement activities that primarily supports healthcare professionals across the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on, varied role that blends event management, stakeholder engagement and administration – perfect for someone who enjoys both planning and being on the ground to see events come to life.
This position is offered as a Fixed Term appointment, contracted until 30 June 2026, with potential for extension.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Workforce Engagement and Events Coordinator, you will provide event management advice and support across the organisation, with a key focus on health workforce education and training initiatives. You’ll work closely with the program and communications teams, key stakeholders, venues and suppliers to ensure events are well-planned, professionally delivered and aligned to organisational priorities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, coordinate and deliver all aspects of in-person and virtual education and stakeholder events, including logistics, venue liaison and setup, signage, AV requirements, catering and on-site coordination
* Manage event registrations, waitlists and cancellations
* Maintain accurate systems and records to meet RACGP Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program guidelines
* Maintain an up-to-date annual calendar of education events and stakeholder activities.
* Develop event webpages, registration forms, and communication materials (email/SMS) using WordPress, Dynamics 365 and MessageNet
* Collate and publish post‑event resources
* Coordinate timely and effective updates with presenters, sponsors, and key internal and external stakeholders
* Source venues and suppliers, negotiate costs, and maintain strong external relationships.
* Maintain accurate records, data and reporting, including post-event evaluations and insights.
* Actively contribute to quality improvement, safety, adherence to policies and effective teamwork
* Support events outside standard business hours when required
SELECTION CRITERIA – ESSENTIAL
* Minimum 2 years demonstrated organisational skills and experience in event management, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience using CRM systems (ideally Dynamics 365) and digital platforms including Office 365, Teams and Canva
* Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and reporting systems
* Capacity for sound and timely decision‑making, considering stakeholder and environmental factor
* Strong customer service approach and continuous quality improvement mindset
* Current Driver’s Licence and access to a comprehensively insured motor vehicle
SELECTION CRITERIA – HIGHLY DESIRABLE
* CPD Representative training to support RACGP CPD Program administration
* Knowledge of general practice or primary health care in the Australian context
* Experience using Dynamics 365
* Current First Aid Certificate

* Remuneration package: $78,059 to $87,243 plus superannuation
