Lake Imaging part of the Integral Diagnostics group is Australia's fastest growing radiology provider. With more than 50 sites of operation in Victoria, WA, NSW and QLD we provide a wide range of diagnostic imaging services. We are seeking a full time Nurse Unit Manager, working a full time, for our practice at St John of God Hospital Geelong.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for providing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures and maintaining a cohesive and effective Nursing team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
* Rostering and maintaining a cohesive and effective team
* Ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements
* Preparation of patients undergoing examinations such as Ultrasound, CT and MRI, including IV Cannulation
* Responsible for staff training including IV Cannulation, CPR and as otherwise required
* Assistance in the performance of Medical Imaging procedures
* Admission and consent of patients undergoing procedures such as biopsy, drainage, and fluoroscopy
About You
* Registered Nurse, Division 1 [General] with current Registration with Nurses Board of Victoria
* IV Cannulation qualification
* Proven effective leadership skills
* Strong organisational, communication, interpersonal and time management skills
* Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
* Flexibility for overtime requirements as rostered and required
* Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
* Commitment to maintain current knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards of the department and organization
