Room Leader - Caloundra Area (Sunshine Coast)

About the role

As a Room Leader, you will design and implement engaging, play-based learning programs that reflect children's interests, embedding the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS) into daily practice.

You will mentor and coach educators in your room, fostering reflective practice and professional growth, and play a key role in the services' Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

This role also involves building strong partnerships with families and the local community to create inclusive and meaningful learning experiences. Your input will be valued in shaping the curriculum and ensuring every child thrives.

What you bring:

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent), completed before October 2025
- At least 12 months of experience leading a room or team in an Australian early childhood education and care setting
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training, valid Blue Card (Working with Children Check), and other compliance documentation as required
- Confidence in engaging families, building relationships, and coaching educators to grow in their roles
- Strong knowledge of the planning cycle, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)
- Availability for full-time hours and ability to work across a rotating roster

Pay: $34.00 – $42.00 per hour
