Deliver high-quality managed funds research and analysis for financial advisers at Lonsec, a leading Australian investment research firm.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting comprehensive analysis across various asset classes, including Australian Equities, Global Equities, Fixed Interest, Cash, and Alternatives.
* Facilitating the coverage initiation of new funds and maintaining ongoing coverage of products.
* Developing technical knowledge of products across asset classes, Lonsec processes, and house views.
* Assisting in report writing and meeting preparation, involving the synthesis of written information and evaluation of product merits.
* Working alongside experienced Investment Analysts and Senior Investment Analysts in a collaborative and supportive environment.
* Taking ownership of research and contributing to wider team efforts.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* 1-3 years of experience within a research house, financial advisory firm, fund manager, or similar, with a strong focus on financial analysis and market knowledge.
* Strong qualitative research skills, with the ability to distil financial information efficiently and convey it clearly and concisely.
* A demonstrable interest in finance and investment.
* Proficient quantitative skills for data manipulation and analysis.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
* Demonstrable understanding of investments, equities, and ETFs, or a keen interest to acquire such knowledge.
* Communication skills that allow for asking probing questions with confidence and clarity.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team, while also taking ownership of individual objectives.
* A positive attitude and a passion for learning.
