About The Role
Position: Qualified Train Driver
Location: West Melbourne, VIC
Status: Casual
The primary objective of the Train Driver position is to operate locomotives safely and efficiently, adhering to QLRS, regulator, and track owner rules and procedures.
Duties include:
* Fulfill train operations requirements in a timely, safe, and punctual manner
* Participate in training, briefings, and toolbox talks related to safe train operations
* Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the business
* Comply with and promote the QLRS Safety Management System
* Mentor trainee train drivers and promote safety and fuel conservation strategies
* Conduct shunting and train inspections as per procedures
* Raise the organisation's profile within the industry
* Encourage a 'just culture' within the organisation
About You
* TLI42615 Certificate IV in Train Driving or equivalent qualification
* Clear communication skills, both written and oral
* Knowledge of safe working requirements on all routes and terminals
* Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in a demanding environment
* Good level of fitness and health
