Video Producer – Job Description
Salary Range $80,000 - $95,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Video Producer to plan, organise, and manage the production of video content for a variety of platforms including television, digital, corporate communications, and promotional campaigns. The role involves overseeing the full production process — from concept and pre-production through to creating films, television programmes, video productions by filming adding sound, editing, and delivery — in accordance with professional industry standards and client requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Determining production size, content, and budget, in consultation with stakeholders.
* Planning and organising the production schedule, workflow, and resource requirements.
* Sourcing and managing personnel, including camera crew, editors, sound technicians, actors, and other production staff.
* creating films, television programmes, video productions by filming adding sound, editing, and delivery
* Directing, supervising, and coordinating the production of video programs, films, commercials, and other audiovisual content.
* Coordinating logistics including locations, equipment, permits, and production facilities.
* Reviewing scripts, storyboards, and treatments to ensure creative and technical alignment.
* Supervising editing, sound mixing, colour grading, and visual effects during post-production.
* Ensuring compliance with copyright, licensing, and broadcast/distribution regulations.
* Managing budgets, preparing cost reports, and ensuring projects are delivered within financial and time constraints.
* Liaising with clients, marketing teams, broadcasters, and distributors.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Demonstrated professional experience (3+ years) in producing video content end-to-end.
* Strong project management and leadership skills.
* Knowledge of production equipment, editing software, and industry-standard workflows.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage budgets, and meet strict deadlines.
* Strong creative and visual storytelling ability.
Desirable:
* Tertiary qualifications in film, media production, communications, or a related discipline (AQF Bachelor or higher).
* Experience with both broadcast and digital/social media video production.
* Network of reliable industry contacts (crew, talent, suppliers).
