Your new role
In this leadership position of Facilities Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of facilities services across a secure government site in the Port Macquarie and Mid-North Coast region. You'll act as the primary point of contact for operational matters, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, contractors, and client stakeholders. Your focus will be on driving service quality, maintaining compliance, and fostering a proactive, solutions-oriented culture on site.
This role offers the opportunity to guide and mentor staff, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and build trusted relationships that support long-term operational success. Your ability to navigate complex environments and manage multiple moving parts will be key to thriving in this dynamic setting.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in facilities management, ideally within government or secure environments
* Ability to take an on-site position full-time (Monday to Friday)
* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
* Solid understanding of WHS, QA, and environmental compliance
* Hands-on experience working with CMMS systems to manage maintenance and reporting
* Experience managing contractors and service delivery
* Trade or tertiary qualification in a building/facilities discipline (desirable)
* First Aid Certificate (desirable)
* Australian Citizenship- mandatory due to site security requirements
