About the role
The Marketing and Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of core deliverables that align with our mission, strategic and business plans, including but not limited to coordinating marketing, promotions and communications to support the Arts Capital vision and the A+G brand, residents, creative programming and activities alongside high level partnerships management in collaboration with the CEO.
This is an ongoing position. The role presents an opportunity for those seeking to further their career in marketing, communications and partnerships development within the arts sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Enliven and implement a Marketing and Partnerships Strategy based on the Arts Capital Strategic Plan for A+G.
- Assist the CEO in building new partnership opportunities, sponsorship and fundraising, through
communication and engagement, and provision of marketing material specific to targeted sponsors, philanthropic trusts, foundations and donors.
- Work with the Business Manager to develop marketing budgets, quarterly priorities and take responsibility for achieving agreed targets.
- Work with the Program Manager to identify program marketing needs and take responsibility for delivering agreed strategies.
- Working alongside the Executive team, draft and coordinate communications of Arts Capital governance activities, events and notices.
- Develop a sound understanding of, and working rapport with, the arts centres' resident organisations and artists, and identify opportunities for collaborative arts hub marketing.
- Build understanding of the arts centres' audiences based on the collection and analysis of relevant data and identify opportunities to grow audiences.
- Manage the performance and work of the Marketing team.
- Ensure a consistent approach to branding through developing and overseeing Arts Capital and A+G's respective brand strategy, acknowledgement, and design guidelines. This includes responsibility for signage and wayfinding.
- Brief, manage and evaluate the performance of external providers of services including publicity, graphic design, web design and audience research.
- Manage the public relations aspects of events and launches, including liaising with MLAs, business partners, VIPs etc. as required.
- As our primary media contact, draft media releases, coordinate media opportunities, and develop a strong working relationship with media.
- Prepare reports analysing the outcomes of marketing activities and deliver required acquittals to sponsors and donors, as well as contributing to grant acquittals.
- Coordinate and take responsibility for delivery of the annual report.
- Devise, maintain and manage media marketing strategies and platforms, including websites, social media accounts, Resident Portal and other online platforms to ensure A+G and Arts Capital has a prominent and effective presence.

Accountability
The Marketing & Partnerships Manager reports directly to the CEO and is expected to show motivation and initiative in performing their duties.
The Marketing & Partnerships Manager is expected to hold a senior position within the organisation, and as such, is expected to perform at a high level, engaging capacity, working cooperatively with colleagues.
At all times, the Marketing & Partnerships Manager is expected to maintain a respectful, positive and professional manner.
Working Environment
The Marketing & Partnerships Manager will work at A+G. The majority of work duties are desk-bound in nature and the position requires a typical standard of fitness and mobility.

Terms of Engagement
This is an ongoing position, effective immediately, with a six-month probation period.
Remuneration
This role is appointed at Level 3.4, Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Award, with salary above award rate, set at $85,000 pro rata - plus superannuation.
Selection Criteria
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a wide and diverse range of peoples, internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated marketing and/or communications experience in multidisciplinary arts/culture, business and/or community sector.
- Demonstrated time management skills with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A sound understanding of brand strategy and customer or client management.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a marketing strategy and communications plan.
- Ability to maintain an engaging profile and audience engagement through websites, social media and other media and marketing platforms.
- An interest in, and knowledge of the arts in Canberra.
- Works collaboratively to find solutions.

- Graphic design skills such as Photoshop and InDesign.
