About the Role
The Director, Investment Delivery Authority provides strategic leadership to design and operate a state-wide system that accelerates major investment in New South Wales. The role leads complex, high-value investment facilitation across government, resolving regulatory, policy and delivery barriers to improve economic outcomes. You will provide authoritative advice to Ministers, Secretaries and central agencies on investment prioritisation, system reform and delivery models. The role balances immediate project acceleration with long-term structural reform to strengthen NSW's investment competitiveness.
You will join the Investment Delivery Authority (IDA) team within Investment NSW; an agency of the NSW Premier's Department. The team works at the centre of government to coordinate cross-agency action on projects of state significance and drive system-wide investment reform, reporting to multiple Secretaries and Ministers.

We're Looking For
* Project Management: Strong oversight of major, interdependent projects and investment proposals, with the ability to manage risk, governance, assurance and delivery pathways at a system level.
* Deliver Results: Demonstrated senior executive experience leading complex, high‐value initiatives with significant economic, fiscal or policy impact, translating strategic intent into measurable outcomes under pressure.
* Influence and Negotiate: Proven ability to influence decisions and resolve complex regulator, policy and commercial delivery challenges across multiple agencies, portfolios and jurisdictions. You will have the ability to negotiate outcomes that balance investor needs, public value and policy integrity.
* Collaborative Leadership: A collaborative leader who builds trusted relationships across government, industry and central agencies to deliver coordinated, whole‐of‐government responses to projects of state significance. You will be able to develop high‐performing, multidisciplinary teams, fostering capability in investment facilitation, complex problem‐solving and cross‐government delivery.
