Financial Counsellor Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Financial Counsellor to join our team. As a key member of our human services division, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals and families experiencing financial hardship.
The successful candidate will have experience working as a Financial Counsellor or in a related field, with a strong understanding of financial literacy, problem gambling amelioration, microfinance, and emergency relief assistance.
* Assess eligibility and needs of clients
* Provide financial counselling and supported referrals to relevant services
* Deliver community education sessions on personal finance and budgeting
Requirements
* Minimum Diploma in Community Services (Financial Counselling)
* Registration with an affiliated professional body or willingness to complete core qualification within 12 months
* Experience working in casework/advocacy/finance or banking
