The Role
We are seeking a talented and ambitious Finance Manager to join our Finance leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO as their 2IC, this is a broad and hands-on role responsible for leading the Group’s Accounts Payable function, overseeing financial operations across multiple entities, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
You will play a pivotal role in budgeting, strategic analysis, compliance, and year-end processes, while also supporting the CFO through modernisation of our finance systems and processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable finance professional ready to step into a key position and help shape the future of the Finance function.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and develop a highly capably Accounts Payable team, ensuring strong controls, effective processes, and high performance.
* Oversee the accuracy and integrity of financial records across the Group’s entities, including P&L, balance sheet, and GST compliance.
* Support the CFO in policy development and in leading finance transformation and process modernisation initiatives.
* Drive the month-end and year-end reporting process, including preparation of year end accounts.
* End to end accounting for the Group’s property companies.
* Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the CFO and provide analysis to support planning and decision-making.
* Manage the finance system (MS Dynamics/Navision) and corporate credit card platform, ensuring data accuracy and continuous improvement.
* Prepare key compliance obligations including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, RTWSA returns, and banking requirements.
About You
* CA/CPA qualified, with senior finance experience in a complex, multi-entity environment.
* Proven technical capability across financial reporting, compliance, and financial operations.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team and positively influence stakeholders.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and professional approach.
* A critical thinker with strong problem-solving ability and a continuous improvement mindset.
* Comfortable being hands-on, organised, and detail-focused while managing competing priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MS Dynamics/Navision highly regarded.
