As a Pharmacist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel by ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication management. You will provide dispensing services, pharmaceutical advice, and manage health stores while working closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
This is a part-time, permanent position working two days per week: Monday and Thursday (8-hour shifts).
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
* Providing safe and accurate dispensing services and pharmaceutical care in line with Defence policy, legislation, and professional standards.
* Managing pharmaceutical and medical supplies, including inventory, storage, and compliance with expiry and safety requirements.
* Offering clinical advice, training, and support to other health practitioners.
* Maintaining accurate patient and pharmacy records using Commonwealth ICT systems.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* At least 2 years full-time post-trainee/internship experience (or part-time equivalent) within Defence, hospital, or community pharmacy in the last 5 years.
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
* Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
Amberley Health Centre, located at RAAF Base Amberley — the largest Air Force base in Australia, just 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to over 6,500 RAAF members and includes primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health care. The standard operating hours are 07:30 – 15:30 Monday – Friday (depending on role requirements and specific craft groups required for weekend and on-call shifts).
