Job Description

As General Manager, National Growth & Partnerships, you will forge strategic partnerships that amplify our reach, unlock new funding streams and strengthen our national presence. This role will support Youturn's continued national growth in a way that is deliberate, values driven and sustainable. The role has been designed to take growth, partnerships and major opportunities out of the day-to-day load of our service leaders so General Managers and their teams can stay focused on delivering exceptional services.

Desired Skills And Experience

Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated experience engaging, influencing and collaborating among m ulti‑level government agencies (Local, State and Federal), PHNs, ACCHOs, NGOs, corporates, and other key sector stakeholders to drive shared outcomes.
Multi‑level government agencies (Local, State and Federal)
Proven capacity to strengthen service integration, expand organisational reach, and collaboratively design solutions that respond to community needs.
Proven ability to assess, prioritise and progress opportunities using evidence‑informed evaluation criteria.
Skilled in aligning initiatives with organisational impact pathways, applying continuous improvement practices, and ensuring proposals and projects are supported by robust evaluation frameworks.
Ability to standardise processes to enhance internal consistency, compliance and effectiveness.
Ability to design and manage a national pipeline of opportunities, incorporating assessment criteria, conversion milestones, financial modelling and ROI tracking.
Demonstrated experience coordinating or contributing to high quality, compliant tender submissions.
Ability to apply evaluation frameworks that ensure proposals are competitive, community‑centred, outcomes‑focused and measurable.
Experience negotiating, evaluating and securing multi‑year funding agreements that diversify revenue streams and support sustainable, scalable service delivery.
Proven ability to position an organisation as a trusted national partner with evidence‑informed frameworks, strong evaluation methodologies and clear demonstration of impact.
Skilled in articulating value propositions that strengthen credibility with government, partners and communities.
Critical Expertise
Extensive senior leadership experience, working across multidisciplinary environments, including effective collaboration with Local, State and Federal government bodies, with a proven ability to guide complex systems, lead diverse teams, and oversee large‑scale portfolios within the Human and Community Services sector.
Graduate qualifications in relevant disciplines, including health, social policy, public administration, or business, underpinning strong conceptual, analytical and governance capability.
Demonstrated track record of securing and stewarding government investment, including oversight of complex commissioning processes, competitive tenders, and large‑scale program proposals.
Proven capability in negotiating and managing multi‑party, cross‑sector agreements, including partnerships involving government, non‑profits, and corporate organisations.
Exceptional strategic communication and executive writing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive submissions, influence high‑level stakeholders, and translate complex evidence into compelling narratives.
Proven capability in managing and leading teams through growth, fostering a high‑performance culture and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
