What's involved?
The Commercial Accountant makes a valuable contribution to our business by managing a diverse and comprehensive accounting function within our Hospitality Group.
This is a hands-on role with diverse opportunities to showcase your skills and experience across forecasting, reporting, audit, tax, and systems support.
The Commercial Accountant will oversee the Accounts Administrator and Accounts Receivable Officer, providing guidance and support to ensure effective management of daily financial operations.
This position is well-suited to an aspiring leader who is seeking to broaden their experience, contribute to process improvements while operating within a collaborative team environment under the direction of the Financial Controller.
What We're Looking For
Experience: Minimum 3–4 years in a similar role, with proven management or team leadership experience
Qualifications: Bachelor of Accounting, and CPA qualified (may be working towards)
Skilled Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate clearly and work collaboratively with the team
Tech Savvy: Experience with a range of systems (Xero highly regarded) and Microsoft Office
Detail Oriented: Highly meticulous, with a keen eye for accuracy, and solutions focussed
Organisational Dynamo: Ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands to enable minimal disruption to workflows and operations
A Leader with purpose: A collaborative, growth mindset is evident along with a commitment to supporting team contributions and participation
