Southern Gulf NRM is a community-based organization focused on sustainable Natural Resource Management (NRM) in the Carpentaria region of North West Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage NRM projects including invasive species density assessments and mapping, project planning, works supervision, stakeholder management, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
* Collate data to create an enduring knowledge base on invasive species across the landscape.
* Partner with research activities to develop best practice standards in management and monitoring.
* Build productive partnerships with stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in Agricultural or Environmental Science or related disciplines.
* Demonstrated scientific/technical knowledge of concepts, principles and procedures relevant to specific aspects of NRM.
* Experience in industry extension principles and practices, engaging with and providing capacity building activities for the agricultural and land management sectors.
* High organizational skills to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize workflows.
