As a senior zoologist, you will work on a broad range of projects involving habitat assessments, species monitoring, and impact analysis. Your extensive experience in ecological consulting and your knowledge of Victorian legislation and regulatory requirements related to biodiversity and environmental conservation will be invaluable assets to our team.
Key responsibilities include leading ecological assessments and surveys, preparing proposals and technical reports, and providing scientific expertise and guidance on ecological best practices to clients and project teams. You will also mentor junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Science with a Zoology, Ecology, or Environmental Science major, as well as at least 10 years of experience in ecological consulting. Proven track records in managing and delivering complex projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities are also essential.
