The role
Program Manager – Trust in Motion
We are currently seeking a Program Manager based in Canberra. The mission is to fulfil the contract with the client and the internal requirements, manage the economic result of the program, monitor costs, deadlines and other program indicators, and lead the dialogue with the client.
Responsibilities
- Leads the Program Team, streamlines internal communication, and maintains team motivation.
- Participates and validates the sizing of the Program Team based on knowledge of the areas and the budget.
- Executes corporate processes and activities.
- Coordinates and prioritises activities of program team members.
- Transfers commercial contract to program management.
- Monitors the action plans to meet deadline objectives and promotes resolution of escalated issues from other forums.
- Accountable for deliverables management and results.
- Accountable for requirements through the project.
- Manages expenses.
- Identifies spare parts, special tools and test benches.
- Requests Economic Department to open the program key, identifies cost centres and provides them with a budget.
- Structures the relationship between the subsidiary and the parent company (subcontract, working capital management, financial scheme, ERP, exchange insurance, tax scheme, billing scheme, etc.).
- Leads and organises program meetings.
- Issues guarantees and insurance.
- Manages program risks.
- Manages billing, guarantees and collections.
- Defines and controls the evolution of quality/cost/terms of the program, including non‐quality costs.
- Tracks local budget and approves locally issued invoices.
- Transfers project to Rail Services, if applicable.
- Coordinates delivery activities with the customer.
- Closes pending points.
- Prepares the project closure report.
- Reports internally to management, program participants and the client on the status of the program.
- Ensures the use of the Lessons Learned Database.
- Complies with responsibilities assigned in processes and with quality, product safety, occupational and environmental risks.
- Maintains a safe and clean working setting, complying with all health and safety, quality and environmental legislative requirements.
Education
- A degree in relevant disciplines associated with the role.
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in similar roles.
- Previous experience in a similar environment.
