We currently have an exciting fixed-term opportunity for a Program / Project Coordinator to join our Transformation team until December 2026. This role has a preference to be based in Port Macquarie.
We're seeking a Program / Project Coordinator to support Program and Project Managers in delivering transformation initiatives across Essential Energy.
This role will provide governance, reporting and coordination support to ensure programs and projects are delivered effectively, aligned to strategic objectives, and supported by accurate information, stakeholder engagement and robust processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support program and project governance activities including reporting, quality assurance, and risk and issue management.
* Monitor, maintain and review program and project information, identifying trends, risks and potential impacts to timelines, outcomes and benefits.
* Prepare consolidated program and project reporting materials for management review and governance forums.
* Coordinate, collate and analyse data, including identification of exceptions, and prepare timely status and business readiness reports.
* Coordinate and accurately record project and program activities across business systems to support reporting and information management requirements.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of initiatives within required timeframes.
* Use high‑level communication and customer service skills to address stakeholder needs and expectations in line with organisational policies and procedures.
* Coordinate and maintain project communication channels including SharePoint sites, project mailboxes and calendars, and schedule project‑related meetings and events.
* Participate in the planning, coordination and implementation of project and change activities, including supporting the identification and assessment of change impacts.
* Coordinate procurement and contract management activities for external service providers in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
* Contribute collaboratively as part of a team to deliver project, change and communication outcomes.
About You

* Demonstrated ability to support project and/or change initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
* Comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Required Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Project Management Practice, or demonstrated capability through relevant experience and/or qualifications.
Desirable:
* Project Management certification or experience.
* Change Management certification or experience.
Experience and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including entry‑level project or change activities.
* Experience maintaining accurate records in business systems, coordinating logistics and supporting procurement activities.
* Knowledge and understanding of project and/or change management methodologies and processes.
* Demonstrated experience preparing structured reports, presentations and communication materials.
* Strong communication, customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
* High‑level interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a complex and varied workload.
* Sound computer skills including MS Office, MS Project and SharePoint.
* Ability to research, collate and analyse data and present trends and insights.
* Well‑developed report writing skills to support governance and reporting requirements.
