Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Machine Fitter to carry out maintenance repairs and reconditioning works on all machinery and engines at various locations and sites.
* Maintenance repairs and reconditioning of machinery and engines at multiple sites.
* Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely updates and communication with valued customers.
* Ensure quality control measures are implemented to prevent rework.
* Evaluation of reusable parts for cost-effective solutions.
* Accurate documentation of service reports, timecards, parts request sheets, and parts quotes.
* Support the sale of genuine parts and provide guidance on supply to customers.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Relevant trade qualifications and extensive experience in servicing and repairing heavy machinery.
* Demonstrated expertise in earthmoving, construction, quarrying, local council, maritime, port, and agricultural industries.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team when required.
* Proficiency in desktop computers and devices.
* Experience with Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET, Vims, SIMSi, and SIS).
* Commitment to maintaining a high level of workplace health and safety.
* Ability to work efficiently during peak periods.
* Prior experience in the Caterpillar dealership network is advantageous.
