About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Signalling Site Engineer to join the team on our Cootamundra based project. The Site Engineer will support the daily delivery of signalling works on the project. The role is responsible for construction activities, manages subcontractors, ensures safety and quality compliance, and resolves onsite technical issues. It suits someone with rail experience, strong coordination skills, and a hands‐on approach to efficient site delivery.
Responsibilities
- Construction management and specific technical skills base relevant to Signalling works in a rail environment.
- Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management.
- Work with key stakeholders to allow timely completion of works.
- Development and delivery of railway signalling and related systems.
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities.
- Understanding of the Project Design Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Safety Management Plan and Environmental Management Plan.
- Pre‐contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications Construction / Engineering Discipline.
- Demonstrated skills in programming, cost control, quality assurance, safety and supervision / people management.
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience.
- Previous work in a Rail environment, including Rail Signalling Systems.
- Experience on complex Rail/Infrastructure projects.
- Willing to DIDO.
- Willing to work a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off). Or, willing to relocate yourself within an hour commute of Cootamundra/Stockinbingal.
