Our client is a global leader in the bulk fuel storage and logistics; they are seeking a HR Manager to join our team at their Botany based terminal. As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all HR activities within the company. This is a key role that will involve working with management and leadership teams, as well as partnering with global and divisional HR teams, to lead and oversee all HR initiatives and activities across two sites within Australia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Formulate, develop, lead and implement local HR strategy and initiatives that are aligned with the overall business strategy and support business objectives for the country.
- Lead to acquire, develop, and retain talent, including performance management, succession planning, and talent development, aligned with current and future business needs.
- Work closely with the local management team, leadership team, business leaders, and alignment with the global/regional HR teams to meet business objectives and requirements.
- Develop functional or operational policies and develop policy frameworks for the organisation. Take responsibility for creating underlying procedures, ensuring compliance to local regulations and alignment with business needs, including monitoring the implementation and competitiveness.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of the latest HR developments and provide suitable interpretation to management team, leadership team, business leaders, and employees within the organisation.
- Develop and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, employees, unions, government bodies, and external vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR management or a related field.
- Proven HR experience, including experience in HR leadership and management roles.
- Excellent knowledge of HR policies and practices, as well as local employment laws and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support business objectives.
