The sweet things you'll be involved in: Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for a National Inventory & Freight Analyst to join our team in a 6-month fixed-term full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville VIC Head Office.
Reporting to the National Logistics, Procurement and Freight Manager, this role is responsible for monitoring inventory and freight costs to support accurate, efficient and timely delivery of products.
You'll play a key role in resolving inventory discrepancies, providing data-driven insights to improve supply chain performance, and assisting with the planning and management of freight and warehouse budgets across the Sugar Australia and Wilmar Ingredients businesses.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Providing key data and insights to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce operational costs, and support overall business growthManaging and reconciling inventory levels and stock variances across multiple 3PL warehouse providers, including investigating discrepancies and implementing preventative actionsAnalysing freight and warehouse costs, and preparing accurate and timely monthly reportsCoordinating and participating in national stocktakes, EDI troubleshooting, and ensuring data accuracy and integritySupporting the development and ongoing management of freight and warehouse budgetsPreparing timely freight and warehousing quotes for the sales team, and assisting with cost recovery from 3PL providersEngaging in supplier relationship management and driving continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and inventory processesEnsuring customer queries and delivery KPIs (DIFOTIS) are met through close collaboration with 3PL transport and warehouse providersCollaborating with internal teams and external providers to ensure seamless supply chain execution and prompt resolution of operational issues What we're wanting you to bring to the table:This role is ideally suited to someone with a proactive mindset, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Tertiary qualification in Business Management/Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience in FMCG and working with 3PL providers (highly desirable)5+ years' experience in a supply chain function (warehousing, logistics, planning)3+ years' experience in inventory controlFinancial analytical skills and proficiency with SAPStrong knowledge of logistics processes and documentationAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsHigh attention to detail, great organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlinesA collaborative team mindset and a focus on customer service excellence About Sugar AustraliaSugar Australia is the nation's trusted partner in sugar and ingredient solutions enabling our customers to make great products for every home.
