As a senior professional in the field of communications security, this role is responsible for managing and maintaining COMSEC accounts within the Australian Government Department of Defence.
The primary objectives include ensuring compliance with policy issued by Defence Cryptographic Controlling Authority (DCCA) and Australian Signals Directorate (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and maintain COMSEC accounts in accordance with policy.
* Support Defence Secret Network services, CIOG High Assurance Cryptographic infrastructure, and Defence Industry High Assurance Cryptographic infrastructure.
* Perform cryptographic accounting, re-key duties, checks, and destructions, as well as manage material and equipment spares and future holdings.
* Conduct annual audits, inspections, and group activities, and provide support to COMSEC Incident Reporting and Investigations.
About Our Team
The team represents the Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) for all products and services delivered to Defence regional bases and sites across Australia and internationally.
The team comprises a mix of Australian Public Service (APS), Australian Defence Force (ADF), and Contracted personnel located across approximately 56 major Defence bases Australia wide.
