Job Summary
The Packaging AM is responsible for the design, specification, delivery, and process project management of packaging materials and POS displays production. He/she represents TAG as our spokesperson to oversee, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients. This role involves delivering exceptional account servicing, ongoing cost savings, and added value for clients, working closely with the Project Management team. Additionally, this role manages the progression of jobs with suppliers through various production stages and ensures clients are regularly updated on their work's progress.
Responsibilities:
* Procurement and project management of all packaging, POS, & display materials
* Develop, maintain, and extend relationships with key clients
* Perform end-to-end transactional project management
* Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business/brand to achieve marketing objectives
* Work with clients to develop comprehensive project briefs
* Lead proposal development and present to clients
* Collaborate with the project team on campaign execution
* Act as brand guardian in discussions with content, creative, production teams, and third-party suppliers
* Manage daily tracking and analysis of production requirements, communicating regularly with the Operations lead
* Implement effective e-procurement and job tracking systems
* Provide first-level technical support for issues related to packaging and production processes
* Ensure all client requests are accurately processed from receipt to final delivery and invoicing
* Transfer all client details accurately into TAG MIS and reporting systems
* Implement best practices aligned with wider TAG operations and meet all client SLAs
* Liaise regularly with clients and suppliers regarding production schedules
* Attend meetings, resolve complex supplier issues, and escalate as needed
* Manage budgets with an understanding of P&L and billing processes
Requirements:
* Design or print management degree and/or relevant certifications preferred
* At least 4 years of experience managing marketing materials, displays, and sourcing projects, preferably in FMCG
* Technical knowledge of packaging and production processes, including folding cartons, litho-laminated packaging, corrugated cartons, POSM, and labels
* Ability to determine optimal packaging solutions from specification to artwork
* Knowledge of litho, flexo, and digital printing processes and substrates
* Advanced skills in prototype and sampling development
* Palletization skills are highly desirable
* Leadership ability to manage client projects and resolve issues
* Strong time management and process discipline
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Meticulous, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
