The Role
This is a 5-month, full-time contract opportunity (July to November) based in our Sydney office. It is a Level 2 role under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement, with a base salary range of $70,286 - $83,000.
Reporting to the Managing Editor, SBS Food Digital, the Social & Editorial Producer will play a key role in creating, publishing and promoting engaging food content across SBS Food digital and social platforms. The role supports SBS Food programming, editorial initiatives and audience growth through innovative storytelling and social‐first content production.
Responsibilities
* Produce and edit high‐quality social video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
* Manage and publish editorial content including videos, articles, recipes and campaign assets across SBS Food digital platforms.
* Coordinate cross‐platform content delivery for SBS Food programmes, campaigns and SBS On Demand titles.
* Support SBS Food's social media strategy through engaging copywriting, content scheduling and trend‐driven storytelling.
* Collaborate with internal teams, freelancers and external contributors to deliver impactful and culturally relevant content experiences.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience producing engaging social video content for digital audiences, ideally within food media.
* Strong video production skills, including shooting, editing and creating social‐first content across multiple platforms.
* Excellent editorial judgement with strong writing, sub‐editing and content management capabilities.
* Strong understanding of social media publishing trends, audience engagement and platform best practice. Experience with Sprout is advantageous.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while working collaboratively in a fast‐paced editorial environment.
