Looking for a casual chef to join our pasta section at Vin Populi in Fremantle!
Ideally someone with experience in Italian cuisine (specially fresh pasta) and high volume, fast paced service is preferred. We are a team built for speed which doesn't compromise quality.
Someone with at least 3-4+ years of experience in commercial kitchens.
Must have a can do attitude, be clean, positive and able to work mixed shifts of mornings and nights, and some doubles if required. Must be confident in preparing all the aspects of a section autonomously, but also able to work within a big team (we are 20 people working in the same kitchen throughout the week), so communication and coordination skills are highly valued too.
If you don't know us, we are a very busy Italian restaurant with focus on fresh pasta and traditional Italian cuisine (imagine classic antipasti, high quality cured meats, fresh local cheeses, classic pasta dishes such as rigatoni all'amatriciana, linguine alle vongole, spaghetti con polpette, porchetta etc) all prepared in house with quality fresh ingredients.
Good amount of hours available for the right person, at least 30hrs per week which will keep growing going towards summer.
Lots of fun and good team! Looking for someone long term that will stay at least until the end of summer. Pay starting from restaurant industry award level 4, depending on experience and skills set.
