Executive Chef Assistant
We're seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to fill the role of Junior Sous Chef. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our culinary team, responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard ensuring presentation is appealing and flavour profiles are balanced.
* Collaborate with senior chefs to develop menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
* Maintain accurate records of inventory, stock levels, and food costs to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment at all times.
* Foster a positive and supportive team culture by mentoring and guiding junior staff members.
* Contribute to menu planning and development, taking into account seasonal ingredients and trends.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar or senior chef role, preferably in a commercial kitchen setting.
* Possession of relevant certifications and qualifications in commercial cookery, such as food safety and handling.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a passion for innovation.
* A valid Food Safety Certificate and any other required licenses and certifications.
