Carer Peer Support Worker Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Carer Peer Support Worker to join our team in delivering high-quality support services to individuals in need.
This role is part of our HOPE Program, which aims to provide up to 12 weeks of practical support and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address the unique social, economic, historical and environmental factors that contribute to suicidality.
1. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and mental health issues, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. They will be able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, psycho-social support workers, and consultant psychiatrists.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health, and be able to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support to individuals in crisis.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering individualized support plans tailored to each client's needs
* Providing emotional support and guidance through regular meetings and check-ins
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
