About the Role
The Manager of the Virtual Allied Health Service provides clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for the virtual allied health service across HNELHD. Working in close partnership with the acute hospitals, the District Virtual Health Centre, and key enabling services, the role ensures that virtual models of care are safe, effective, integrated, and embedded in everyday practice.
This role is central to improving patient flow throughout the system, enabling access to allied health services across HNELHD Rural and Regional Health Services (RRHS), supporting workforce sustainability, and optimising system performance.

What You'll Be Doing
* Lead the planning, implementation, and ongoing operation of virtual allied health services across the District
* Collaborate with acute hospitals and clinical teams to support virtual interventions for patients transitioning to local facilities
* Translate strategic priorities into practical, clinician-led models of care
* Provide strong clinical governance, with a focus on quality and patient safety
* Lead and support multidisciplinary allied health teams delivering virtual care
* Partner with patients, carers, and families to co-design patient-centred services
* Build strong relationships across clinical services, workforce, ICT, and finance
* Monitor performance, evaluate outcomes, and drive continuous improvement and innovation
About You
* An experienced allied health clinician with proven leadership capability
* A systems thinker with a strong understanding of patient flow and integrated models of care
* Confident leading change, influencing stakeholders, and navigating complex health environments
* A collaborative and forward‐thinking leader who values clinical excellence, innovation, and partnership
Requirements
* Relevant allied health tertiary qualifications and/or professional registration with AHPRA as required by the Health Professionals State Award
* Current eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances
