ICT Business Analyst (Managed Services)

An ICT Business Analyst (Managed Services) is predominantly a post‐sale, service delivery role that works with customers to formulate ICT support and production system requirements, develop ICT support and production system plans and documentation, review and evaluate existing ICT support and production systems, and design and modify ICT support and production systems to meet business needs. The role also solves problems and provides technical expertise and direction in support of support and production systems and process improvements, diagnoses and resolves complex system problems.
Key Responsibilities
* Work with customers to formulate and document requirements for support and production systems.
* Identify, investigate, and analyse support and production system processes, procedures, and work practices.
* Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and support and production system functionality and behaviour.
* Create user and training documentation, and conduct trainings and handovers.
* Plan, design, build, configure, commission, and maintain systems, taking responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of support and production systems, especially environments with multiple operating systems and configurations, and providing troubleshooting and fault‐finding services for systems problems.
* Analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of support and production systems.
* Research, analyse, evaluate and monitor systems for ICT infrastructure to ensure integrated system platforms are configured to operate at optimal performance.
* Assess and recommend improvements to network systems and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems.
* Provide specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting hardware, software and systems problems and emergencies.
* Install, configure, test, maintain and administer new and upgraded systems, software database applications, virtual and physical systems, and servers.
* Recommend corrective action plans and improvements in the resolution of non‐compliance with standards detected across the managed systems.
* Liaise with hardware and software vendors where required for systems problem resolution and drive these to conclusion.
* Create, perform and collaborate in daily, weekly and monthly scheduled activities including reports, updates, meetings and trainings.
* Troubleshoot, upgrade and provide service support to communication infrastructure systems including but not limited to compute, storage, network, cloud, backups and recovery, security and disaster recovery and business continuity.
* Optimize and automate internal systems to improve the managed services activities efficiency.
* Problem and incident management utilising tools and ITIL Framework.
* Provide training, and knowledge transfer for the customers and Managed Services team members.
* Attend training and complete all product/vendor systems certifications as requested.
