As a manufacturing engineering professional, you will be part of the Super Heavy Booster team at SpaceX.
This role involves developing and qualifying processes for high-rate, mixed-product manufacturing of propulsion, avionics, and welded structural assemblies.
The focus will be on design for manufacturing, implementing poka-yoke systems, increasing product yield, and automation as required to minimize takt and cycle times.
We are looking for someone with a strong background in aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials engineering, or mechanical engineering.
Bachelor's or advanced degree is required along with 1+ years of experience in manufacturing and process design.
Mastery of mechanical assembly methods, testing, failure mode effects analysis, and troubleshooting is necessary.
Familiarity with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems is also preferred.
You should be able to work in tight quarters and perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small openings and climbing hand over hand.
We offer competitive benefits including flexibility to travel to remote build sites up to 10%.
