Position Overview
TG Public Affairs is seeking a dynamic and detail‐oriented professional with strong communication and research skills. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, research policy changes to identify client impact and support strategic client engagement.
The successful candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and committed to staying informed of current affairs and policy developments. This role is based in Brisbane.
Key responsibilities for the role:
* Support Directors with client account management and relationship building.
* Prepare high-quality reports, policy briefs, and summaries to inform client strategy.
* Attend client meetings and assist with the development of government relations strategies.
* Contribute to the preparation of client proposals, presentations, and strategic plans.
* Assist with the coordination of events, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
* Maintain accurate client records, databases, and project documentation.
* Ensure timely delivery of client projects, meeting key deadlines and objectives.
* Communicate progress updates clearly to both internal teams and clients.
* Monitor political developments and contribute to regular policy updates for clients.
* Ability to support business development activities, including contributing to proposals and participating in client pitches where appropriate.
Knowledge and skills:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Ability to monitor and analyse current affairs and policy trends to inform strategic advice.
* Minimum two years' experience in a related field (e.g. government, public affairs, consulting, or policy).
* Tertiary qualifications in politics, business, public policy, or a related discipline (a Master's degree is highly regarded).
